Ingredients
3Applespeeled, cored and chopped
1/8tspCinnamon Powder
70mlWater
Instructions
In a saucepan, put apple chunks, water and cinnamon. Bring it to boil then lower the heat to medium.
Simmer and let the apple cook for 12-15 minutes or till they are completely soft and tender. Let cool slightly.
Now transfer all the ingredients to a blender jar. Blend for 1 or 2 minutes or till you get a smooth puree.
If you want a chunky puree, pulse the mixture 5 to 6 times until you get the desired consistency.
Serve at room temperature to your baby.
Notes
Age: 6 months and up
Use any variety of apple for making apple puree. Just make sure the apples you see using are ripe and sweet. Do not use unripe or sour apples for apple puree.
Feel free add spices of your choice. Once your child is used to purées, you can experiment with different spices. I love adding cloves, nutmeg and dry ginger powder or freshly minced ginger to apple puree.
