Homemade Pain Relief Oil | Growing Kids Pain Relief

Materials

  • 100 ml Cold Pressed Mustard Oil
  • 100 ml Cold Pressed Sesame Oil
  • 15 cloves Garlic smashed; not chopped
  • 2 tbsp Bishop Seeds/Ajwain
  • 2 tbsp Fenugreek Seeds/Methi Dana
  • 1 tbsp Nigella Seeds/Kalunji
  • 2 inch Cinnamon Stick/Dalchini
  • 25 Cloves/Laung
  • 1.5 tbsp Pure Camphor/Kapur powder it in mortar pestle
  • 20 drops Ginger Essential Oil or use 3 tbsp minced ginger
  • 15 drops Nutmeg Essential Oil

Instructions

  • Heat both, mustard oil and sesame oil in a wok on low flame. Do not use nonstick or aluminum wok. 
  • Add garlic, ajwain, fenugreek seeds, cinnamon and nigella seeds (kalunji). If using raw ginger instead of ginger oil, then add that as well with all the ingredients.
  • Let it all cook on low flame till garlic and other ingredients turn completely black. This will take you roughly 15 minutes. 
  • Once off flame, allow the oil to cool.
  • Then add camphor, nutmeg oil and ginger oil. Cover the wok & let it all stay infused for 24 hours. 
  • Now sieve and add the oil in a sterilized glass bottle.

Notes

  • Nutmeg Oil is a non-negotiable ingredient. DO NOT think of skipping it!
 
  • To make this oil effective, do not skip any of the ingredients above. Cloves, Ajwain, Nutmeg oil, Sesame seeds, Nigella seeds, Fenugreek seeds are some of the very effective natural pain relievers with anti-inflammatory properties.
